NEPRA has approved to increase the price of electricity for Karachi consumers to Rs 9.42 per unit.

The increase in electricity price has been make in the context of May’s monthly fuel adjustment.

A NEPRA spokesperson said that the increase in electricity price is Rs 9.42 per unit. NEPRA had earlier approved an increase of Rs 9.66 per unit.

According to K Electric officials, K Electric owes Rs 380 billion. Chairman NEPRA said that if NEPRA needs NEPRA to get cheap electricity, we are here.
