ISLAMABAD: The government has issued a notification to increase the salaries and pensions of government employees. “Notification issued for increase in Salaries and Pensions of Government Employees”
According to sources, the salaries of government employees have been increase by 15% in the form of ad hoc allowance.
The recent increase in salaries has been made on the running basis of 2017, while five ad hoc allowances and
reliefs of 10% to be received by the employees from 2016 to 2021 have also been frozen at the level of July 1, 2022.
Income tax will also be applicable on the increase in the salaries of the employees while the basic salary of the
employees recruited from June 30, 2022 will be fixed according to the new pay scales.
In addition, special allowances, house rent and other allowances have been frozen at the level of June 30, 2022.
The 15% ad hoc allowance will also apply to contract employees.
The Special Allowances, House Rent Allowance and Hager Allowances to the employees of all Ministries and
Divisions, including the Judiciary, have been frozen at the level of June 30, 2022. An enamel committee has
also been set up by the finance ministry in this regard.
The Enamli Committee will review any irregularities related to the increase in the salaries of the Armed Forces and make recommendations to rectify them.
According to the new pay scales, the minimum salary of Grade One employees has been increase from Rs
9,130 to Rs 13,550 and the maximum salary has been increase from Rs 17,830 to Rs 26,450 per month.
The minimum salary of Grade 2 employees has been increase from Rs.9130 to Rs.13829 and the maximum
salary has been increase from Rs.19210 to Rs.28520 per month. According to the new pay scales, the
minimum salary of Grade 3 employees has been increase from Rs 9610 to Rs 14260 and the maximum salary
has been increase from Rs 21310 to Rs 31660 per month.

According to the new pay scales, the minimum salary of Grade 4 employees has been increase from Rs 9,900
to Rs 14,690 and the maximum salary has been increase from Rs 23,100 to Rs 34,490 per month while the
minimum salary of Grade 5 employees has been increase from Rs 10,260 to Rs 15,230. And the maximum
salary has increased from Rs 25,269 to Rs 37,730 per month.
The minimum wage for Grade 6 employees has been increase from Rs 10,260 to Rs 15,230 and the maximum
salary has been increase from Rs 25,260 to Rs 37,730 per month while the minimum wage for Grade 7 employees has been increase to Rs 10,099. Rs. 16,310 has been increase and the maximum salary has been
increased from Rs. 29,290 to Rs. 43,610 per month.
The minimum wage for Grade 8 employees has been increase from Rs 11,380 to Rs 16,890 and the maximum
salary has been increase from Rs 31,480 to Rs 46,890 per month while the minimum wage for Grade 9
employees has been increase to Rs 11,770. The maximum salary has been increase from Rs. 17,470 and the
maximum salary has been increase from Rs. 33,670 to Rs. 50,170 per month.
According to the new pay scales, the minimum salary of Grade 10 employees has been increase from Rs
12,160 to Rs 18,050 and the maximum salary has been increase from Rs 36,160 to Rs 53,750 per month while
the minimum salary of Grade 11 employees has been increase to Rs 12,000. The maximum salary has been increase from Rs. 570 to Rs. 18,650 and the maximum salary has been increase from Rs. 38,970 to Rs.
57,950 per month.

The minimum wage of Grade 12 employees has been increase from Rs 13,320 to Rs 19,770 and the
maximum salary has been increase from Rs 42,120 to Rs 62,670 per month while the minimum wage of
Grade 13 employees has been increase from Rs 14,260 to Rs 21,160. And the maximum salary has increased
from Rs 45,760 to Rs 67,960 per month.
The minimum wage of Grade 14 employees has been increase by Rs 15,180 to Rs 22,530 and the maximum
salary has been increase from Rs 50,280 to Rs 74,730 per month while the minimum wage of Grade 15
employees has been increase by Rs 16,120 to Rs 23,920. And the maximum salary has increased from Rs 56,020 to Rs 83,320 per month.
According to the new pay scales, the minimum salary of Grade 16 employees has been increase from Rs
18,910 to Rs 28,070 and the maximum salary has been increase from Rs 64,510 to Rs 95,870 per month while
the minimum wage of Grade 17 employees has been increase. The salary has been increase from Rs. 30,370
to Rs. 45,070 and the maximum salary has been increase from Rs. 76,370 to Rs. 113,470 per month.
