ISLAMABAD : The government has dropped another power bomb on the people, making it more expensive by Rs7.90 per unit.
According to details, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had submitted an application to the
National Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for an increase in electricity prices, which was approve by NEPRA during the hearing.

It should be note that CPPA had sought approval for an increase of Rs 7.96 paise on which it has approve
an increase of Rs 7.90 paise.
The CPPA took a stand in the petition that 8.80 per cent electricity was generate from furnace oil in May,
electricity was generate from furnace oil at Rs 33.67 per unit, 10 per cent from local gas and 22.89 per cent from imported LNG.
In May, 24.50% of electricity was generate from water.
