The Supreme Court issued a detailed decision acquitting the accused in the Shahzeb murder case. The 17-page decision was writt-en by Justice Mazahir Naqvi. The decision said that there are several court decisions related to the termination of punishment after peace. There is no element of terrorism in Shahzeb’s murder case.
The murder case was the result of personal grudge. So the provisions of terrorism cannot be apply in personal grudge and quarrel.

The Supreme Court annulled the Sindh High Court’s decision to uphold the punishment of the accused. And said that reconciliation has been reach between the parties. If they are not wante, they should be release from jail immediately.

It has been further state in the judgment. That it should be clear that the court makes decisions according to the constitution and not by emotions.
The purpose of acquitting the accused including Shah Rukh Jatoi was to save the innocent from the death penalty under the law.
According to the court decision, the Anti-Terrorism Act The punishment of the accused under Section 7 is terminate.
Last month, the Supreme Court had acquitted the accused Shahrukh Jatoi of Shahzeb. The lawyer of the accuse, Latif Khosa, had said in arguments that the parties had already reached an agreement the accused had no intention of spreading terror.
The murder incident was give-n the color of terrorism. The court had acquitted the accused Shahrukh Jatoi and other accused in the Shahzeb murder case.
On December 25, 2012, 20-year-old Shahzeb was kill in Defense area of Karachi while returning home from his sister’s wedding in Darakshan police station.
In the Shahzeb murder case, the trial court sentenced Shah Rukh Jatoi and Nawab Siraj Talpur to death, while the accused Nawab Sajjad and Ghulam Murtaza were sentence to life imprisonment.
The Sindh High Court reversed the decision of the trial court and sentenced the four accused to life imprisonment. While the accused had filed appeals against the life imprisonment in the Supreme Court.
